(DENVER) Granite Properties announced it has signed a lease transaction with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE:APC) for office space at Granite Tower, 1099 18th Street.

Anadarko, which is among the world's largest independent oil and natural gas exploration and production companies, will be leasing approximately 11 floors of Granite Tower, a 31-story high rise, located on the block bounded by 18th and 19th Streets, Curtis and Arapahoe Streets — an area that is going through a true urban revival. Stephanie Lawrence, Managing Director-Denver for Granite Properties, which owns Granite Tower, welcomes Anadarko. "We are delighted that a prominent tenant such as Anadarko has chosen Granite Tower for its quality, service and surrounding amenities."

Anadarko will unite its Denver-based employees in the Granite Tower building, which will become the company's largest regional office. The Anadarko Denver office will lead the U.S. Rockies Region, which includes extensive operations across Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. Anadarko's corporate headquarters is located in The Woodlands, Texas.

Frederick Ross Company's Nathan Johnson and Pete Staab handle the leasing and marketing of Granite Tower and represented Granite Properties in the office lease transaction. Anadarko was represented by Cushman & Wakefield, led by James P. Bailey, Jr. in its Houston office.
