OBJECTIVEInformation Handling Services Group determined it would need up to 600 new employees to handle its growing workload. The expansion required a new building on their 32-acre Inverness Business Park campus. IHS called the Frederick Ross Company broker who had assisted them over the course of a 14-year relationship. The new building was to be integrated with the company's three existing buildings, but IHS wanted flexibility to separate the facility if it later decided to sell or lease it. | ||
RESULTSThe broker brought in Westfield Development, Ross's development affiliate, to move the project from a need to reality. Westfield proposed a 117,000 square foot, three-story structure that complemented the headquarter building's architecture and was connected to it by a covered, all-weather walkway. If IHS decided to lease or sell the building, the walkway could be removed to make the two structures independent. Once approved, the project was launched and came in on time and on budget. |
